Pacific Hospital of Long Beach offers a large selection of benefits to choose from.
Our Health and Welfare benefits plans are available to regular full time employees who work at least 60 hours per bi-weekly pay period.

Below is a brief description of the benefits we offer:

Medical plans: We offer three medical plans so that you can choose what best meets you and your families personal needs. We have a PPO plan and two HMO plans to choose from.

Dental plans: We offer two dental plans for your convenience, a DPO and a DMO.

Vision: Our vision insurance is with Vision Service Plan, one of the largest vision insurances in the country. We provide the vision insurance for FREE with your election of either of our dental plans.

Basic life insurance: PHLB provides it’s benefit eligible full time employees with one times their annual salary (up to $100,000.00) in FREE Basic Life insurance.

Basic accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance: PHLB also provides another one times your annual salary (up to $100,000.00) in FREE Basic AD&D insurance.

Supplemental life insurance: You can purchase additional life insurance for yourself, your spouse and your dependent children at discounted group rates.

Supplemental AD&D insurance: You can also purchase additional AD&D insurance for you and your family at discounted group rates.

Long term disability: Being in the state of California, our short term disability is covered by our state taxes. However, you can purchase optional Long Term Disability coverage to protect your income in the event you are disabled for longer than six months.

Flexible spending accounts: In addition to your medical and dental deductions being taken on a pre-tax basis, you can also have pre-tax dollars set aside for your medical and dependent daycare expenses. You can set aside up to $5000 per year in the each of these accounts. This is a great way to lower your taxable income!

Pre-paid legal: PHLB offers a pre paid legal service where you can have access to attorneys for a variety of services ranging from document review, will preparation, uncontested divorce and traffic violations. You can also purchase their Identity Theft service to be able to monitor your credit and have them repair it for you if you are a victim of identity theft.
