
In the Clinical Education department at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach we believe that the primary function of the clinical staff is to provide competent patient care in a manner consistent with the PHLB mission and value.
Our department's mission is to provide a variety of quality learning experiences which update the staff on current trends in their discipline, as well as to assess and implement best fit evidence based standards in our hospital setting.
We coordinate a comprehensive orientation program in collaboration with the Human Resources department, the Unit Charge Nurse and Unit Director. This process creates an environment that enhances participation in learning activities to improve professional practice, quality of care, and patient safety.
