The Emergency Department provides a full range of services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is a paramedic receiving facility.
Our physicians are board certified in Emergency or Internal Medicine and provide quality care while collaborating with a nursing staff of experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses.
In addition to a full range of emergent medical services and urgent care needs, Pacific Hospital Emergency Department also offers on-site psychiatric evaluations.

The Emergency Department at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach is a 7-bed, Level 3 Emergency Medical Service Department. In addition, the following specialists are available on-call and by referral:
- Family Practice
- Internal Medicine
- General Surgery
- Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Urology
- Psychiatry
- Orthopedics
Pacific Hospital's Emergency Department participates in the Emergency Communications Network for Southern California Hospitals and the Long Beach EMS System.
