The Family Health Clinic of Pacific Hospital of Long Beach provides a wide range of services to the community including complete medical care, OB care, family planning and dermatology clinic.

AVAILABLE SERVICES

  • Complete medical care including physical exams and child vaccinations
  • Complete OB care including prenatal care, prenatal vitamins, health education, Lamaze classes, and breast-feeding classes
  • Family planning programs including birth control pills and Depo Provera injections
  • Dermatology clinic including skin cancer and cosmetic issues
  • Free scheduled transportation

OUTPATIENT CARE YOU CAN AFFORD

This program is designed to be used by patients who need competitively price structured Family Practice and Pediatrics Services.  The focus is to help patients who are willing to pay for quality clinical services on the day services are provided but are on a limited budget and have no insurance.

The program is a collaborative venture by representatives of the Pacific Family Health Clinic, the Pacific Hospital Laboratory Department, the Pacific Hospital Radiology Department, and, the Long Beach Prescription Pharmacy who are working to keep individual total visit costs to a minimum.

Many patients will only see a doctor at a clinic when they are sick and want treatment for a specific ailment; others need a special service.  Or, patients need to see a primary care doctor because a family member is sick. To illustrate, the cost for a School Sports Physical is $25 and for a Pre-school Physical is $40 (not including immunizations).  To see a doctor for a sick visit is $40.00.  Laboratory and Radiology Services, and, prescription services from the Long Beach Prescription Pharmacy are additional charges but are very reasonably priced.

Regarding a sick visit at the Pacific Family Health Clinic, after being examined by a doctor, a knowledgeable Clinic representative will explain any additional charges.  “You decide what services you can afford.”

Persons who should consider this program are employees without health coverage; including, new employees, part-time, and per-diem workers and their families.

Government programs for family members could be available if qualified. These programs include:

  • Child Health and Disability Program
  • Healthy Family Program
  • Vaccine for Children Program
  • California Peri-natal Services Program
  • Family Planning Program
