Epidemiologist / Infection Control Professionals (ICP’s) include physicians, medical technologists, microbiologists, nurses environmental health specialists, and others.
Hand hygiene continues to be a major focus of the Infection Control (IC) program today. The IC program is essentially a patient and staff safety program based on surveillance, prevention and control of infection through observation, education and good clinical practice techniques.
