MENINGOCOCCEMIA

Signs and Symptoms

  • Sudden onset of flu-like symptoms, including fever, headache, vomiting.
  • Stiff neck or tingling in the hands and arms.
  • Reddish-purple rash that does not blanch when pressed

Call your health care provider immediately or go to the emergency room if you have symptoms suggestive of meningococcemia.
