Treating Spinal Injuries With Care
Welcome to the California Spine Center (CSC) at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach.
In conjunction with leading orthopedic medical groups in the area, we offer immediate, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders. TOTAL CASE MANAGEMENT
The Center recognizes that successful outcomes depend on effective, carefully coordinated management of the medical, surgical, hospital, therapeutic, and ancillary services required by each patient. That is why all of our medical team leaders and administrators are well versed in orthopedic case management, and receive expert support from affiliated orthopedic medical / surgical groups and on-site rehabilitation therapists.
QUALIFIED SURGEONS
The California Spine Center at Pacific Hospital is affiliated with leading orthopedic surgeons and medical / surgical groups in the area, and has established a close working relationship with these groups that jointly focuses on optimum patient care, coordination of medical documentation and reports, and accessible on-site consultation.
COMPREHENSIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY AND REHABILITATION
Physical, occupational, and / or speech therapy can be an integral part of a patient’s recovery protocol.
To effectively meet this requirement, the Center operates a rehabilitation center to provide patients with easy access to follow-up treatment and ongoing coordinated care.
ACCESSIBLE ANCILLARY SERVICES
To further support our goal of providing comprehensive orthopedic care, the Center maintains the latest diagnostic and therapeutic imaging and laboratory equipment.
EFFECTIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT PROTOCOLS
The Center believes that effective pain management is an important component in orthopedic treatment, allowing each patient to focus on the rehabilitation program with minimal discomfort.
HIGHLY-TRAINED MEDICAL SUPPORT TEAMS
All of the Center’s medical support staff have been specially trained to meet the unique needs of patients with spinal disorders. Because Pacific Hospital of Long Beach is a teaching hospital, staff members receive regular exposure to top medical practitioners and educators, and participate in regular seminars and workshops on all topics related to orthopedic care.
FREE SCHEDULED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Because a significant number of the Center’s patients are physically challenged, we offer door-to-door van service throughout Southern California, fully coordinated with surgery and treatment schedules, and specially designed to alleviate the travel discomforts normally associated with orthopedic follow-up care.
INTERNATIONAL SPINE PROGRAM
California Spine Center is proud to offer a Spine Surgery Program to International patients from Russia. Patients are examined for surgery in Moscow by our affiliated physicians and if a candidate for spine surgery, the patient and a guest are flown first class to California.
While in California they will stay in a luxury hotel/spa and be catered to with gourmet meals. An optional VIP touring package of the surrounding tourist highlights is available.
Surgery will be preformed at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach by Dr. Serge Obukhoff.
Dr. Obukhoff is a diplomat of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a leading expert in minimally invasive spinal surgery.
Patients will recover in the hospital for 3-5 days and then be able to relax pool side at their hotel and spa for the remainder of their recovery period. Once recovered, the patient and their guest will be flown back to Moscow first class.
