CLARK TODD, MBA, FACHE – President and Administrator

CLARK TODD, MBA, CHE, FACHE – President and AdministratorClark Todd has been in executive healthcare management for over 37 years.

He received his undergraduate degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and his Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from
The George Washington University in Washington D.C.

He is a fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives.

Clark has also served on the Board of Directors for Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington since 1985.

His distinguished career has included being Chief Operating Officer of a multi-hospital system, Chief Executive Officer of acute care and psychiatric hospitals, Chief Operating Officer of a physician practice management company, Vice President of a mergers and acquisitions firm, and founder of a two-state home healthcare system.

Clark joined Pacific Hospital of Long Beach in 1999.

KATHRYN McLAUGHLIN, RN, MSN – Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer

KATHRYN McLAUGHLIN, RN, MSN – Vice President, Chief Nursing OfficerKathryn has been a nurse for over 28 years.

Her career as a Chief Nursing Officer began in 1999. She is a member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), the American College of Nurse-Midwives and is active on the San Gabriel Valley Nursing Leadership Council.

Kathleen received her Nursing degree from Rancho Santiago College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern California.

Kathryn joined Pacific Hospital of Long Beach as the Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive in December 2006.

JIM CANEDO, CPA, CMA – Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

JIM CANEDO, CPA, CMA – Vice President, Chief Financial OfficerJim has worked in healthcare finance since 1983 and is an advanced member of the Southern California chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting. Soon after, he became a corporate reimbursement specialist for a Tenet Healthcare facility in Burbank, California.

Jim began his career as a Chief Financial Officer in 1994.

His Pacific Hospital of Long Beach experience as CFO began in 1999.

 

JENNIFER ENSMINGER, MBA – Vice President Ancillary, Support, and Construction Services

JENNIFER ENSMINGER, MBA – Vice President, Ancillary and Support ServicesJennifer received her undergraduate degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. After moving to California, she earned her Masters of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Jennifer’s Pacific Hospital of Long Beach experience began in July of 2000 as an administrative resident and a year later she became the Assistant Administrator.

In 2004, she became the Vice President, Support Services and the Vice President for Ancillary, Support, and Construction Services in 2005.

 

TIA SCHILLER, MA – Vice President, Human Resources

TIA SCHILLER, MA – Vice President, Human Resources Tia has been a leader in healthcare Human Resources for over 15 years and has been active in the local community as a Board Member of the Long Beach Workforce Development Board.

Tia has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology both from California State University of Long Beach.

Tia joined the Pacific Hospital of Long Beach family in
June 2006.

Tia is a native of Southern California.

KAREN SCOTT, RN – Vice President, Quality Management

KAREN SCOTT, RN – Vice President, Quality ManagementA native of Long Beach, Karen Scott has been a nurse since she was 23 years old.

She attained her nursing degree from Long Beach City College and attended the University of La Verne for her Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management.

Karen’s PHLB experience began in late 1997 as the
Director of Performance Improvement.

She was promoted to Administrative Director of Quality Management in 1999 and Vice President, Quality Management in 2001.

 

DAVID WUESTE, MBA – Vice President, Chief Information Officer

DAVID WUESTE, MBA – Vice President, Chief Information OfficerDavid’s core background comes from over 14 years of experience in healthcare operations that include a broad base of experience.

Previously he served as Chief Information Officer for two world-renowned hospitals at the USC Keck School of Medicine campus.

David received his undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Barbara and his Masters in Business Administration from California Lutheran University.

David has served as our Chief Information Officer for PHLB and associated entities since June 2003.
